This is the quintessential Montana bar/restaurant. There is a nice outdoor space for warmer temps. There are beautiful views all around. I had the 1/2 lb burger, and it was grilled to perfection, and there tots, they are so delicious and just crumble in your mouth. There is a pool table there if that is your thing. They have steaks, pizzas, and a variety of starters, as well as a full bar. I'm glad we stopped and will be back the next time we come to Montana.
We got the bison burger and the pizza and lots of onion rings. The onion rings were phenomenal! Very big but easy to eat without falling apart. They weren’t heavy or greasy or soggy. The New York style was on par for the New York pizza I had in NYC. The bison burger was cooked right and juicy with really fresh ingredients. We got our food super fast! They were very friendly and answered all my million questions that I had about the menu.
BEST WINGS I have had in my LIFE! Have to admit, when we entered the place, it felt like an outback wild wild west saloon. But food was amazing!!! People seemed to be regulars and knew each other. We all ordered different dishes and we liked all of them!!! Still dreaming of those wings in Midwest!!!
5 star hidden gem restaurant! The food and service were excellent! The walleye and cod fish and chips were the best we have ever had! We prefer this place over all the other places in the area.
I can't say enough about this establishment. If you're around this area, it's worth the drive. When Gardiner didn't have pizza at the pizza place and was closing early we drove to this place and hit the jackpot. We are a family of seven and were treated like royalty. The customer service was super, the food was delectable, and the atmosphere was just what you'd imagine rural Montana to be! The pizza was great and so were the Philly cheese steak, and onion rings.
I wish I had gotten a picture of the food but we devoured it. Best dang place in Montana. It’s a little off the side of the road but definitely worth it. The pizza was phenomenal and the atmosphere was perfect. Me and the husband would 10/10 visit again. I got the 1/2 burger to share with my little one and we had a hard time finishing it with how thick the patty was. I tried the blood orange draft beer and it went well with the burger. The garlic fries were delicious with some cholula and ketchup, the tater tots were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Classic feel. Has the dive bar vibe, but feels very taken care of and clean. Service was pleasant and food was good. Chicken wings were exactly the chicken wings I needed in my day - perfectly fried, crispy, not-too-heavy breading. A pleasant surprise! The Crazy Woman pizza we ordered looked amazing, but ended up being a garlic bomb. We are garlic lovers, but this was SO much. Like, an Italian would have screamed, 'Uncle'. A garlic farmer would have said, 'whoa there bud, that's enough,' a quarter of the way into the application. I understand garlic is personal, so this doesn't affect the overall 5-star experience. But, be forewarned.
While in Montana, we wanted to find a low-key hidden gym with a small-town authentic feel and homemade food. This place hit it in every single way. This was exactly what we were looking for. The aesthetic inside and out, the vibe, the service, and the FOOD. Man oh man it was a 10/10. We got the bison burger and the fish and chips and I could 100% tell them were both made from scratch. One of the best bison burgers I've ever had. Put this place on your list! Highly recommend.
